March 27 - Cañón Nacapule

We drove to Nacapule Canyon this morning and hiked in a few hours.  Very green with palms and springs.   The road in was gravel and dirt but for Mexico it was amazingly good.

March 26 - San Carlos y Guaymas

This morning we drove south along the ocean towards Guaymas.  We were headed for Estuario del Soldado (Estuary of Soldiers).  This is a 350-acre coastal lagoon surrounded by mangroves.

A portion of the hike is along the beach.

We saw a number of kayaks out from the beach and about 4 dolphins swimming with them.

We went to a local beachside restaurant for brunch.

Afternoon was spent as siesta, something I could get accustomed to, followed by dinner with friends.

March 25 - exploring San Carlos Day 2

We headed off in the CRV early to check out some marinas and playas along the north highway.

Playa Piedras Pintas (Speckled rocks) we plan to return to snorkel here.

We travelled along a scenic road to Mirador Escénico (Scenic Look-out).

We went grocery shopping.  I was in choice of cheeses heaven.  Cam checked out the pool in the afternoon.  We will explore the scenic road towards Guaymas tomorrow.

March 24 - San Carlos

This morning we moved to a better spot here in Totonaka RV Park next to our friends and with better shade.

The beach here is rocky with loads of all sizes of seashells.  Windy today which makes for a nice breeze in the campground which is across the road from the beach.  Good restaurants nearby and a grocery store.  Today we rest and walk the beach and immediate area.   Tomorrow we can tour.

March 23 -Carreteras Los Mochis, Obregon,a Campo to San Carlos

Another long day but we reached our destination without incident, and that is what matters.
