Whale of a Tail

It's been a good year for humpback whale watching.  There was a female humpback with a calf in the bay for a few days.  Then an afternoon of two whales cruising around the bay slapping their flukes at each other and occasionally breaching, you could hear the slaps.  They kept that up for several hours.  Yesterday a whale was hanging out fairly close then decided to start slapping its tale again and again for about 15 minutes.  As you can see from the photo below it was very close to us and you could hear the sharp slaps of the tale.
