Orange-breasted Bunting at Mi Lugar!!!

We went to Mi Lugar tonight for supper and while we were there 2 Orange-breasted Buntings came and fed in the grass by the patio.  They are endemic to the Pacific slope in western and southwestern Mexico. It has been reported in five of the six states including Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, and Oaxaca, but not Nayarit.  Although Nayarit (La Peñita's state) is listed as possible range it has not been reported here.  So I have reported it to the Cornell University ebird checklist.  I have some photos which are good enough for identification but not great.  The live photos won't transfer into the blog and they are better.  This is also the restaurant at which we saw the Russet-crowned Motmot.

After the flurry over the bird we enjoyed a nice evening.
