March 22nd - Los Mochis Pemex

Today we had a straight run to a huge Pemex truck stop outside of Los Mochis.  We are now off in one corner with a whole pack of tourists in our motorhomes.  They say it is best for us.   I think it is probably best to keep us out of the way of the trucks!  We got takeout from the restaurant and plugged our friends fifth wheel into our RV for generator power to them.  It is not a vacation spot but we are off the road and hopefully will be on our way early tomorrow.

The drive here was predominantly through agricultural areas although there was some desert with organ pipe cacti.  It is Spring here and many of the trees are flowering.

Ocean off in the distance

Tomato fields and greenhouses

Many cornfields and granaries.  Looks like Nebraska!

Trees blooming all along the highway.

Brave fellow with his motorcycle cart

More tomatoes

Tree with large silver pods - looks alien

Highway was good with potholes in some areas

Greenhouses

Many workers in the fields.  La Costena has its sauce plant here.

Also saw potatoes and white onions being harvested.

382 Km.
