March 4 - An ordinary day except for the Crocodile on the beach

I spent the morning at J.E.E.P.  cleaning kennels and giving the cats, dogs and horses attention.
Our visitors continue to get in some serious beach and relaxation time.  We went and did some grocery shopping in the afternoon.  The Carneceria was already closed at 2:30 for siesta so we couldn't get what we needed for supper so we went out to Irma's for dinner.

We returned to our patio and watched the sunset.  Then we noticed one of our neighbours shining a flashlight onto the beach.  We got our flashlight and shone it down on the beach in front of our area and there was a  crocodile.  We knew crocodiles came from the estuary at night to feed in the ocean because we often see their trails in the sand in the morning.  Rick couldn't resist and got his flashlight and camera and went down to see if he could get a photo of the crocodile which was about 4 feet long.  Another camper came driving down in his ATV and scared the croc back into the surf before he could get a photo.  Later we watched the croc make it's way back up the beach and over to the estuary.  There is a full moon soon and we will watch to see if there is more activity on the beach when we can see it quite clearly by moonlight.  Swimming or walking in the surf at night is definitely out though.
