On the road again (At least as far as Winkler)

Over our summers travels, the Brave suffered a series of stone chips, and finished the summer with a small crack in the driver's side windshield.  In our quest for a replacement, we were surprised to find that the only place in Manitoba that would replace RV windshields was the Speedy Auto Glass in Winkler.  When the owner examined the Brave, he found some rust in the windshield support structure, but figured he could clean it up with about an hours work.  We ordered the windshield Sept. 14, waited anxiously for the call that it had arrived in Winkler; and finally got the call Oct. 15, the night before our scheduled departure date.  The morning was spent in final packing, Nancy running many, many checklists, and briefing our long suffering house-sitting niece (it's our niece's second winter house-sitting for us, so she knows what's what).
On a cold, cloudy, and windy day, we returned to Winkler.  We're parked in front of Speedy Auto Glass, plugged into their 15 amp power, and enjoying the wifi they generously shared with us.  Tomorrow's plan is to roll the Brave into the shop at eight, and hopefully, five hours later, be rolling down the road into the US.  We shall see.

182 Km.

Meanwhile in Thompson, as Neil says, the ravens are beating up passing kids for bits of their lunch.

So let us hope that El Valiente's new eyes are 20/20 from now on. Hey, 182kms to Winkler is not so bad to get out and stretch the legs. And you are close enough you can still run back home for the stuff you remembered you forgot in the middle of the night!
