Tucson, AZ

It rained hard. most of the night, with us feeling snug in El Valiente.  We woke to a desert gleaming in the morning sunlight,  dripping with water, puddles around catii.  Most unusual.  As we hit the road towards Tucson, we travelled across several large areas of salt flats, around Lordsburg, that are prone to massive dust storms.  There are repeated highway signs of what to do if you encounter zero visibility.  This time through, most of the flats were covered in water.  We did have to slow because of poor visibility, but it was because of fog.  We drove for an hour in dense fog, with nearby peaks occasionally poking out over top.

First Saguaro Cacti!

Spent the night at this spot in Tucson.

We enjoyed a drink sitting outside under a Hunter's moon in a warm Arizona night!

324 Km.
