The "Birthdays" Lunch

Cam and Louise both have birthdays this week so we celebrated with a lunch today at Pineda Restaurant in Rincon.  This is a fantastic place that caters mostly to a Mexican crowd and closes at 7:30 p.m.  It has some of the best seafood in the area, a great location on the water and the drinks aren't too shabby either.

Sangria

Coconut shrimp

Tequila Shrimp

Brocheta arrachera, Smoked Marlin rolls and shrimp tacos

In the photo above, the girl with the white dress and veil is celebrating her 15th birthday.  In Mexico, a girl who is having her 15th birthday is called a quinceañera.  It is like a coming out party or a debutante ball.  The celebration usually begins in a church followed by dinner and dancing.  It can be an extravagant affair.   Check it out on the internet.
