San Carlos, Son

We were on the road by 7:30 having no desire to remain at the Pemex any longer.  We made reservations in San Carlos yesterday as a friend staying there said large caravans were coming in.

The turn to take the Periferico (bypass) around Navojoa

The Periferico around Navojoa and around Ciudad Obregon are God's little gift to those of us travelling through here.  A few years ago we had to go through both cities on rough roads full of giant potholes, trucks, parked cars and people.  Our first time through Ciudad Obregon we would not have believed we were on the right road if we weren't in a caravan.  There were huge potholes and the street was flooded in places.  To say the RV ahead of us was wallowing through the street would not be an understatement.  So we cheer and smile as we travel the lovely new bypasses.

We arrived around 1:00 p.m.  and enjoyed air conditioned comfort.
