Ajo, AZ

In the RV park they were building an Ocotillo fence.  The Señora said it was to act as a visual screen around the park.  Ocotillo is a plant native to the Sonoran desert and appears to be an arrangement of large spiny dead sticks.  When it rains it can get small green leaves on the stem.

Patio at the RV park in Santa Ana

Santa Ana was fairly quiet as we drove through it this morning.

Then out into the Sonoran desert which was greening up with many plants starting to flower.  The highway was good and 4 lane divided most of the way.

 Saguaro cacti

We met 3 cowboys who all gave us a friendly wave.

 Enough water for palms

Although most arroyos were empty

 Cholla cacti - furry looking

Lots of flowering plants

Sonoyta, Sonora on the border

There was a lineup at the border so it took awhile.  The Mexican military waved Cam in and came on board our RV at the border crossing lineup.   As our friends rolled by in the line they asked what was happening on the RV radio.  The soldier just looked at their RV going by then at me and said "Su familia?"  I hesitated then smiled and said "Si, màs o menos".  "Yes, More or less." He just smiled then searched our RV.    We were through the border quickly.
