The Century plants continue to grow.
This morning we saw the Rufous Hummingbird. These little guys winter in Mexico.
The Rufous is very similar to the Allen's Hummingbird. The one difference is that the most Allen's have a bronze-green back while Rufous have mostly a copper back.
I'm thinking notched so Rufous.
I am trying to take these videos from under our lowered canopy out of the driving rain so forgive the angles. The Magnificent Frigate birds and Brown Pelicans were having a heyday.

Happy New Year! So is the torrential rain common for this time of year? Or is it more of an Oct-Nov thing? More signs of climate change or just a winter storm?
List are being made and routes are being planned!
The rain's not out of the ordinary, every winter we get rain two or three times, although, this session was more vigorous than most.
