March 15 - Villa Hidalgo area - Pemex 6678

We drove through some amazing country from the state of Jalisco into the state of San Luis Potosi.  San Luis Potosi is primarily Southern Chihuahuan desert.  Some of the most common plants are Chinese Palm, yucca trees, organ cactus and prickly pear.

note the facebook, twitter,  youtube available on the bus

The area boasts the widest variety of cacti in North America

Gorgeous highways

We stopped at Pemex 6678 past the state capital (also called San Luis Potosi) near Villa Hidalgo.  This Pemex has a large gated overnight area with guards and a small shopping area.  It is a favourite of our fellow RV park travellers.  Although the roads were fantastic we decided to call it an early stop at noon because last night was noisy.

230 Km.
