Chimulco Park, Villa Corona

It was a beautiful day. We enjoyed a 30 C day combined with a cool breeze off the lake.  I did some birdwatching along the lake in the morning and wandered around the park before the gates opened to the families coming to the waterpark.

I had this cacti in our house it was 2 feet high

Lakeshore was about a 4 minute walk away

Lots of shorebirds but hard to see in photo

In the afternoon Teri and I went tubing down the Lazy River in the park for the princely sum of 15 pesos each.  It is warm hot spring water flowing down a long winding canal which goes around the waterpark.  Too bad we didn't have the camera.  You get a free huge tube to float on.  We had a blast and did numerous circuits.

Lots of waterbirds - avocets, pelicans, Black necked stilts, egrets, wood storks, ibises, etc
