La Peñita to Chimulco RV Park - Villa Corona, Jalisco

Last photo from our patio

Last night we moved the Brave onto the launchpad.

Ready to go

Jack moved his travel truck onto our pad to load.

After many goodbyes with friends and staff we headed off with our travelling companions.

We had about a 40 minute drive on the old steep windy road to Compostela, where we turned onto the newly opened Autopista Jala-Compostela to 15D and then the new Macrolibramiento south of Guadalajara.

Just past Compostela, ah good roads!

The vegetation was changing as we climbed from sea level to 5000 feet.  More crops and greener until we got into pines and huge cacti.

A few repairs on the new Macrolibramiento

Gorgeous country

We turned off the Macrolibramiento onto Hwy 80 to Villa Corona.  It was a little slower but still a decent highway.

We arrived at Chimulco RV Park in early afternoon.  A four and a half hour drive.

274 Km.
