Around 2:00 a.m. we had a torrential rain with wind and lightning, the CRV finally got the wash it needed. The limbs of live oaks were swaying about 5 ft up and down, you can see why they grow as they do. They were rocking and rolling. There are warnings for high profile vehicles due to winds on the highways. Good call moving yesterday.
Market in town was nearly nonexistent due to rain but I went anyway
Hmm, this and the automatic weapons fire in the distance make me homesick for the safety of Mexico.
Lovely giant thistles near Goose Island State Park
We will be in Rockport for about 10 days, time to let our shadow catch up with us.

Hey it looks like that storm missed Brownsville?!
Stay safe and don't get any dints!
Weather here is right on average for this time of March-1,0,-2,1,2,-1
Okay on closer inspection of the market day photo I can see all of the masts from the sailboats in the marina! And you haven't sent any photos or talked about any of the 40 footers that are for sale for cheap!?!?
The descending cold front slowed down, so the storm moved across further north than forecast. The Live Oaks of Drifter's take the winds much better than the trees we were under at Breeze Lake, plus big north winds Saturday, so just as well we drove Friday.
I thought you'd be off east to fetch that stunningly cheap Wharram...
