Malecón y Old town

We went for a drive along the Malecón only to find that most of it was closed due to improvements in the form of pavers.  We ended up out in Old Town and along the harbour where the Marines have their base and the ships and fishermen come in.

Is that bird disrespectful or is it singing along

We eventually came to what I thought was a park however when we went to turn in a fully armed Marine came out towards the gate.  We turned and went down the street but my map showed a park so back we went.  Cam stopped at the gate and I asked "Es esto un parque?"  He smiled and said " Si, y hay un restaurante...."  Along with some other info we took to mean there was something to see.  He was very nice.  (I know, I know Baba would have got a photo of her with him)  It turned out be a park with a Memorial and a shrine to those who died.

There is a live band for tonight's wedding and they are great.  Amazing singers.
