Mercado Pino Suárez

We took a Pulmonia to the Mercado Pino Suárez which is the old town central market.  Our driver had a heavy foot and whipped through the streets and along the malecón.  It was a lengthy drive from one end of town to the other.

 No seat belts

We arrived at the market unscathed.  It was busy and of course you had to watch where you stepped as the streets are uneven.  We bought a few items and vegetables. We also visited the Basilica de la Inmaculada Concepcion.

Can't take photos in the church

We had lunch and then walked quite a few blocks to the malecón.  It was fairly hot out so we stopped for beverages at a beachfront restaurant then continued for a short distance.

A Pulmonia zipped up bedside us and asked if we needed a ride, yes indeed.  I asked him if he would  "maneje despacio, por favor?"  Drive slowly.  Si.  He did a great job and we enjoyed a leisurely ride back to our sites.

 New baseball and futbol stadium

We arrived back to discover our neighbours in La Peñita had just arrived at Baraka's so we sat around exchanging travel stories until dark.
