Christmas Eve Birds

I know, you just are not getting a bird break!  But it's Christmas and I am using my Christmas camera and enjoying it very much.  Hopefully I can continue to improve in the art of photographing birds.

Groove-billed Ani

Groove-billed Ani fly around the park in a little social pack of 6 to 8.  They can be quite sneaky or make a fairly loud melodic whistle or a whining whistle.  They like to perch with their wings spread out in the sun.

Carolina Wren

Black-chinned Hummingbird

Blue Gray Gnatcatcher

Anhinga

These were a long shot so that's my excuse.

The very elusive Yellow-breasted Chat

Ruby-throated Hummingbird

Orchard Oriole

Streak-backed Oriole

Painted Bunting

Chililó (the cat) spotted something in the jungle and was going down after it with Kirk ready to back him up.

Kirk says "Grab him and bring him out!"

What is that cat and dog doing?

Our friends truck with antlers.

Our decoration.

Lots of Mexican families camping in the park for Christmas.

Tonight will be a major celebration in the park with the Mexican, Canadian and American campers gathering at the office for the annual Christmas Carolling and Piñata bashing event.

It's getting taller!

I think these may be flower shoots.
