This brings to mind the "its a small world" statement. We spent the afternoon on our patio catching up and look forward to seeing their place in the near future.
Today, we bought croissants and fresh homemade strawberry jam from the "bollitos - little buns" truck. They drive into the park on Saturday mornings and you can hear them calling out "bollitos" from a few blocks away. There is a wide variety - cookies, muffins, donuts, peanut brittle, breads, tarts, passion fruit jam, blackberry jam, jam busters, etc. all fresh, all delicious.
Around 9:30 a.m. Cam drove me to the Jaltemba Equine Education Project (J.E.E.P.) to volunteer with an assortment of animals including horses, dogs, and cats. It is a fair climb up the hill to the Project and the little CRV had to crawl over pits in the cobblestone road, steep inclines and large jutting rocks. Twice. I stayed for 1 and a half hours.
I am sure they would get more volunteers if they were more accessible.

I ended up walking dogs. Junior was deaf and had an odd way of drinking basically dunking his muzzle. He started out a bit nervous then gradually enjoyed his 40 minute walk.

I also took a young dog for a walk and ran her a bit by using the lunge circle for the horses. I had the short inner circle to trot on and she had the big outer. Also ended up helping remove ticks from her. She is blind in one eye but a pretty happy dog.
