I thought I'd be able to scrounge a piece of wood for a sanding block somewhere around the park, but I underestimated the scarcity of dimensional lumber in Mexico. So back to the ferreteria I went.

The generic machetes with the moulded plastic grips are below, but I found if you try to take one out without care, you will run your hand into the implements of destruction above.
