Back to Benson AZ

Neither Nancy nor I could habituate ourselves to the whole San Andreas Fault thing.  The real possibility of cataclysmic, geological scale, end of the world style death and destruction was more than we wanted to hang around for, and besides gas was a buck a gallon more than in Arizona; so it was time to hit the road.
Well, a destination was a tossup, and I figured anything was possible.  Then, late last night, Nancy found a description of the parrot flocks in Brownsville.  That pretty much sealed the deal.  Hard to compete with parrots.  We dumped, loaded, hooked up the Accord and hit the road.  Stopped for a grocery shop and supper in Casa Grande, AZ, then rolled through Tucson and made Benson, AZ tonight.  We were counting on a Walmart stay, but not in Benson.  So it's a Love's truckstop kinda night, with the purr of diesels as background.  Kinda reminds me of the Arkansas truckstop ice storm stopever...
682 Km. today
