This morning Martin and his family washed the RV and car. His wife Monica, their nephew and even the 13 month old daughter, all participated in the washing of the RV and car today. It was good to see them again and that they are doing well.
It is a public holiday in Mexico. Martin said today is to remember the babies, tomorrow is everyone.
We went into town and there were people with their faces painted skeleton-like and wreaths and flowers for sale. Tomorrow is the big day - Dia de Muertos.
Things are progressing in the park, power is now on up top and water. The pole that got knocked over by the gringo parking his trailer is standing again even if the wires aren't on it. Ramon went by with a load of potted plants even if the the sites are still full of jungle vines he is on time delivering plants. He is still driving his old red truck that has poor brakes and rolls slowly down the hill. There is comfort in consistency and the familiar.
One of our neighbours arrived and a new lady from Chilliwack who drove her Class A in with her giant poodle in the La Penita caravan. Tonight was the free coconut shrimp and margarita dinner up by the pool. It was very good, too many free margaritas..........
I decided to use the nearby shower facilities and had to duke it out in the shower with a large spider, he lost as I had a mop.
We spent most of the day relaxing in our recliners looking at the ocean, watching the fishermen lift their nets, ibises and egrets soaring over to the lagoon, and Pushy and Shovey the 2 Violet crowned hummingbirds at our feeder. The Cinnamon hummingbird and Broad-billed are also here.
