November 8 - Taco Tuesday

A trip to Las Varas was the morning chore to find flats of coca cola at the Bodega Aurora. You can only buy it in single cans or 2 litres in La Peñita.

We Deliver

While I shopped Cam and Kirk waited in the car with the windows down.  Suddenly a hand sized brown spider zipped into the car and crouched by my visor.  Cam took his cane and slowly herded it out of the car.  It zipped across the windshield and Cam quickly put up the windows and turned on the air.  Glad I wasn’t there.  Unfortunately I had the iPhone so no photo.

We set up our canopy sunscreen and put on our tire covers.

Then attended Tuesday Taco/Margarita night up at the big palapa.  They have chicken, fish, shrimp, beef and pork as well as an assortment of sides and sauces.  Margaritas are free and Tacos are 20 pesos each.  Around $1.50.  Also flan and rice pudding for dessert.

Kirk also had a flea treatment as he insists he was not alone in his bed.

While I was doing the blog the Leafeater ant wars were going on in the park.  These ants don't bother
anyone except the vegetation but they are eating the bougainvilleas, mango trees, etc.   So a few of the long term campers were working at getting rid of them.

Great photos! What is that out in the surf? I do not like this story about the spider, but I assume the poor guy meant no harm and simply thought he had found a nice shady spot. I'm amazed kirk didn't go for him!

A massive tree root surfed in the other day, and has since been frolicking in the surf.
