November 20 - Día de la Revolución

A clear morning as the dry Santa Ana winds arrived this week.

We did not attend the parade today as it was 35 C and a walk into town was not appealing.  Driving is pretty much out of the question what with the crowds and traffic congestion.  Even our usually desolate beach was busy today.

Our solution to the heat was douse ourselves from our sprinkler and lay in our lawn chairs to let the Santa Ana winds dry us.  Then turn on the sprinkler again.  Also take photos of birds and butterflies.

Wow, look at those wings

There are all kinds of beautiful butterflies here but they are too flitty for photos except for this one on our oriole orange.

We attended the rib dinner at the pool then back home where we can clearly here the oompah like horns and music of the festivities in La Peñita.
