November 14th - Monday, around and about

Nancy got her reel mounted today, and spent an inordinate amount of time fondling her new tackle, but the good surf fishing is dawn and dusk at high tide, and it was neither.

The iguana population in our site is starting to increase.  Apologies for the lack of focus.

Spot both iguanas?

Pretender to the throne

We went into La Peñita shopping today, and found the pueblo was hopping, as it has been lately.  We noticed a couple of buses parked on the street.

Then, while Nancy was in the tienda shopping, I saw the side street was completely plugged with parked cars, and further up the street, at the community centre,  there were people sitting in chairs right across the street.  We speculated on the occasion; it could have been a funeral; we've seen a similar gathering in Rincon last year, alternatively, there's elections coming up and it could have been a political meeting (but it seemed rather restrained for that).  Even the locals seemed curious when they walked by.  Since we were unsure of the occasion, we kept our distance and headed back to the Park for a beverage.

Martin (Mar teen) took advantage of the cloudy day, and arrived at the site to wax the Brave.  Martin, his wife, and cousin worked away at the RV, while Nancy fed their little girl some ice cream and read a bird book.  Ganso de Canadá or Canada Goose.

Great photos. Love seeing the pictures in the little shops and around town in general.

Great to catch up on the blog after 5 days at TMR. Flower photos are amazing.
