November 9

Today we needed to replenish our groceries.  I eyed the avocado trees near our campsite.  We have 2 kinds.  Large grapefruit sized avocado which is said to be creamier and the regular avocado we buy at home.  Alas, neither is ready to eat.

A couple of large spiders have taken up residence in one of our caravaners campsite, she likes them so hope they stay there.

I had seen some fruit markets north of La Penita along the road when we first came into town so we visited those.

We purchased teeny bananas, plantain, and a Jack fruit which we will cut up tomorrow.   We also stopped at the local grocery store and bought other supplies.  I shared a banana with our iguana when we got home.  We also had our car washed inside and out for 80 pesos (we did tip them another 40 pesos).  It took them nearly an hour and it is one shiny car at least until Kirk got in.  Martin the owner of the outfit actually commented on Kirk's scraggly little hairs.  These guys used brushes that looked like oil paint brushes to clean vents, etc - very clean.  Truck has shop vacs, pressure washer, etc

Finished off the day at happy hour listening to travellers adventures in Mexico.
