Bungalows Laguna del Tule, Melaque

Last night we slept to the sounds of the surf pounding 30 metres behind us.  The RV even shook a little.  The morning was gorgeous, hot and humid.  We are parked on a sand spit.  Ocean behind us and  a large lagoon in front of us.  It has water hyacinths and white waterlilies and lots of birds - Northern Jacanas, Egrets, Streakbacked Orioles, Yellow-crowned night herons, etc.   I watched a Snail Kite feeding today, new for my bird list!

Our internet is bad so I will post more photos in tomorrows blog.

I followed a tour bus out of the park today to checkout the best route out of town as he is bigger than our rigs.  As I followed him he stopped to pick up more of his Mexican tourists at another hotel.  He was blocking the road so while everyone waited a young couple finally climbed on the bus.  But it wasn't't moving, then a chihuahua came running along and hopped on the bus, still not moving, then after a minute another chihuahua came running out and also got on the bus.  Then away went the bus, only in Mexico!
