Wednesday is market day in Villa Obregon/Malaque/San Patricio (three villages have grown together, and we’re never sure which is which). Nancy and friend went off to explore and pick up a few necessities. It’s November and still pretty hot (32day/24 night) so the vendors tarp off the streets around the town square.
I had to show everyone the view from the cliffs, so we went for a ride up for another look around.
A zoom of Bungalows Laguna Del Tule and our RV’s from the north cliffs.
We saw the RV park down at the base of the cliffs and went to explore. While it was quite cheap, there were few services, and a rather rough crowd. This started a cruise through town checking out the RV Parks in town. One was very easy to access from the highway, but no water views, and nearly double the cost of where we are now. We came to the conclusion that are current location is optimal. This, despite still no wifi. It died shortly after we arrived Sunday, and despite many assurances of mañana (in this case it just means “not today”), two visits from the IT guy, after three days, still no wifi. The long term winter crew here is getting quite vociferous in their complaints.
Next we want for a cruise around Barra De Navidad.
We checked out another RV Park, but it turns out to be individual gated slots more suited to storage than living.
We had decided to go for supper at the local restaurant, but alas, as in La Peñita RV Park, the restaurant is closed on market day. We consoled ourselves by partaking of the swim-up bar’s offer of any two drinks for 70 pesos ($4.90 CDN). Their Dirty Monkeys, Margaritas, and Tequila Sunrises were both generous and excellent, as we watched another November sunset.
