Possum wrangling & La Carreta

While I was walking Kirk today an RV pulled into the area we are camped in.  I noticed they were all looking under the RV where the slide came out.  They told me they had just gotten their RV out of 2 years storage and there is an animal in it.  The opossum had built a substantial nest of sticks, leaves, garbage bags, etc in under the slide.

Hmm, is there something nesting in my RV?

A young Mexican groundskeeper went underneath the RV and poked at the animal.  Suddenly the young guy came shooting out from under the RV saying "It's out".  He got a broom and chased it out to the malecon.

That's one big Possum

He's had enough

Time to find a new home

We spent most of the day packing, draining our tanks and the usual prep to travel again.

For supper we decided to try the La Carreta restaurant.  It was an excellent choice.

Entrance to La Carreta was very inconspicuous from the street.

This is one of the oldest restaurants in town and has a central open patio with tables under protected areas.  All entrees are beef.  The meal was very good.

It is a lovely night with crickets singing however it is Saturday and there is a steady barrage of fireworks towards town.
